The most important advantage of the "Dionysos Hotel" , is its important and excellent location.

The Hotel is located on the coastal road, in front of the new port of Poros, where ferry boats coming from Piraeus or Galatas dock.

The area is very quiet and right in the port, in front of the Hotel, there is a very large open Municipal parking lot to leave your means of transport free.

Next to the parking lot there is a large, safe and fenced playground for your children to play and have fun.

Also in front of the Hotel there is the starting point of the Municipal Bus, with which you can move for free to the beach of the city of Poros.

Next to the Hotel there is the largest supermarket on the island and fifty meters away a traditional bakery with all kinds of pastries and traditional sweets.

Also at this point are the island's exhibition center, the Diana Cinema, the news agency / bookstore and a shop for renting bicycles or mopeds.

To the left of the Hotel is the famous area of "Mikro and Megalo Neorio", the "Love's bay" and the "Russian Naval Station" with the island "Daskalio", all these about 5 minutes away by car or motorbike, to swim in green-blue waters under the pines.

To the right of the Hotel is the sandy beach "Kanali", just 5 minutes walk and then the most cosmopolitan beach of the island, "Askeli" about 15 minutes walk. Further on, the crystal clear beach of "Monastiri", which is 5 minutes away by car or motorcycle.

So you can easily and quickly organize your day trips, in order to visit any beach of the island you want, to enjoy the sun and swim in crystal clear blue waters.

If you have a means of transport, then you can also organize day trips, passing to Galatas with the small ferry boats, which depart every half hour opposite the Hotel.

So you can visit Hydra, Ermioni, Porto Heli, Spetses, Methana Volcano, Nafplio, the Ancient Theater of Epidaurus, Ancient Troizina, Mycenae and other nearby antiquities or attractions.

At the same time the Hotel is located in the Cosmopolitan port of Poros, close to picturesque taverns, grills, meze shops, cafes, bars and colorful shops of the island where you can browse and buy if you want something from Poros.

"Kanali" beach

Kanali beach is located right after the bridge that connects the Progimnastirio with the Settlement.

It is located next to the city, just 5 minutes from the port of Poros and is a very beautiful, organized sandy beach at the bay of Askeli.

On the beach there is a cafe beach bar for coffee, iced juices, drinks, soft drinks, ice cream and tasty snacks.

At the beach "Kanali" you will also find the homonymous picturesque tavern, in front of the beach, with Mediterranean cuisine, pies and grills of the hour.

On the beach there are sunbeds and umbrellas with tables, where you can drink your coffee or enjoy a nice snack.

If you are in the mood to walk from our Hotel to the beach "Kanali", you need about 5 minutes.

"Askeli" beach

After "Kanali" beach, the coastal road continues and leads to the sandy beach "Askeli", which has been honored with a Blue Flag, about 15 minutes walk from our Hotel.

Askeli is a large organized sandy beach overlooking the open sea and in places has sand or pebbles.

The beach has four consecutive beach bars with sunbeds, umbrellas, tables and showers, which in addition to coffee, ice cream, drinks and soft drinks, offer beautiful snacks or even fast food.

Askeli is the most popular beach of Poros and gathers most of the people of the island for swimming every day.

On the beach, in some parts there are tall eucalyptus trees and tamarisk trees, which create shade for those who do not want much sun and a space to play rackets.

At the beginning of the beach there are changing rooms, toilets, beach volleyball court.

In the center of the beach there is a school for sea skiing and facilities with all kinds of water games and sports. On the coastal road there are cafe snacks, quaint taverns and grill-restaurant, with quality food and good prices.

Askeli has regular transport to the city of Poros by taxi and some hours by boat.
